2018 Daylen Kountz Commits to Univ. of Colorado

2018 Daylen Kountz Commits to Univ. of Colorado

Daylen Kountz (2018, 6’4″, G, Denver East High School) has verbally committed to the University of Colorado (Div. I) of the PAC 12 Conference.  After evaluating the multitude of offers he received, Daylen and his family decided that the CU was the place for him.  Daylen made his commitment to the CU staff during his recent official visit to the Boulder campus.

Over his high school career, we have witnessed the continued growth and development of Daylen as a student and as an athlete.  Daylen has taken advantage of the adidas circuit to be able to solidify himself as one of the top basketball players in the country.  CU has done a wonderful job of recruiting Daylen and making him feel important to their future plans.  Coach Boyle and his staff stayed executed on their goal of keeping the top Colorado recruits here in Colorado, by pursuing and securing Daylen.

The Colorado Hawks, Daylen and his family would like to sincerely thank each and every college coach and their staffs who offered Daylen and invested their time and energy recruiting Daylen.  We understand the effort it takes to recruit student-athletes and your interest made the decision for Daylen that much more important.

“First, I’d like to thank all the coaches who have recruited me over my high school career.  Also, I want to thank my family, coaches, & friends for all the help they’ve given me with my basketball career up to this point.  I want to thank Jermaine Mason for pushing me and challenging me to be the best me.   I want to thank the Colorado Hawks organization for providing a stage like the adidas circuit, where I was able to showcase my ability.  I also want to thank the Denver East community for all of the support.  I want to thank my parents for making the big sacrifices to allow me to pursue my basketball dreams.  With that being said… I’m very blessed & excited to announce that I am verbally committing to the University of Colorado to further my basketball career and education! #GoBuffs”

Congratulations Daylen.  The Colorado Hawks are extremely excited that you have selected the University of Colorado as the place to continue to mature as a student, as a basketball player, and most importantly as a young man.  #HawksNations #WeGotNow #GoBuffs
