17U Prospect Players garner interest in Tournament of the Rockies

Coach Billy Houston has been leading the 17U Prospect team to much success.  This team has demonstrated that are one of the top teams in Colorado and that was no different in the Top of the Rockies tournament last weekend as this team made it to the Final Four.  The goal of this team is to position these young men to pick up interest from collegiate programs.  As a result of their play a few players have picked up additional interest, with one player moving up to the top team.  Kyrele Benford (2017 6’5″ W Doherty) has moved up to the 17U Nation team after initially playing with the 17U Prospect team on the adidas Prospect Tour.

2017 6’3″ G Darius Houston (Eaglecrest) has picked up interest from Casper College.  Congratulations Darius on playing solid at both guard spots and getting Casper to show interest in you.

2017 6’1″ G Devon Jones II (George Washington) has peaked the interest of Fort Hayes State University for his play in the TOR last weekend.  Keep up the great work Devon.

2017 6’5″ Wing Kyle Cabs (Smoky Hill) has caught the eye of Chadron State College.  Congrats Kyle on the new interest in your skill set.

We will continue to help showcase the talent of our Hawks players.  Thank you to Casper College, Fort Hayes State University, and Chadron State College for expressing interest in our program and our players.  Thanks to the TOR staff for putting on a tournament where our kids can be seen.  #HawksNation, #WeGotNow #adidasUprising
