Colorado Hawks spotlight Elite 8 Edition

The Colorado Hawks had a major impact on the CHSAA Elite 8 yesterday.

Eaglecrest v Regis Jesuit

Xai’Vion Hatch-Jackson (6’1″ 2018 Point Guard) was the unsung impact player in the Eaglecrest v Regis Jesuit game. X came and made several consecutive plays on the defensive side of the floor. His outstanding defense provided extra offensive possessions for Eaglecrest and helped fend off Regis Jesuit.  Xai’Vion add five points to his defensive effort.
Cherokee Trail v Rangeview

Despite losing in the Elite 8, David Thornton did everything possible to help Cherokee Trail continue onto the Final Four in the CHSAA playoffs. The 6’6″ Senior Wing scored a game high 26 points, leading a young CT team during the game, but they came up a little short against a tough Rangeview team.

Tyrei Randall (6’6″ Senior Wing) helped lead Rangeview past Cherokee Trail scoring 14 points.

Jervay Robinson (6’2″ CG) chipped in 16 points.

Reggie Gibson (5’9″ PG) kept the offense running smoothly, attacked the basket very well and made several timely passes setting up his teammates.

Several young Colorado Hawks added to Overland’s game also. Goy Wong (2018 Forward), Nick Holmes (2017 Wing), Daijon Smith (2018 Guard), and Stephen Hayes (2019 Guard) all added value from the bench for Overland.
