HAWKS 15’s Wins AAU West Coast Championship in Reno!

Monday, July 30

from Coach Terry Lee:

“The update – The Colorado Hawks 15U just completed a successful trip to The National AAU West Coast Championship in Reno, Nevada. We won our division which allows us to play in the 2008 AAU Nationals without playing a qualifier. By winning, we get our entry fee paid for next year’s National tournament.

The team was led by Christan (Bud) Thomas who averaged 21 points a game. We had 4 players average double figures and new addition, Tyrell Williams (TW), averaged a double double, points and boards. In one game, TW had a triple double with 10 blocks, 12 points, and 13 boards. We are headed to MAYB Nationals in Wichita, Kansas this week to defend our title. It will be a lot harder because we are playing in the 9th & 10th grade division.”
